That's probably best, that tailgate is already heavy enough lol

Oil change yesterday. Finally admitted to myself that pulling the front left wheel and attacking the filter that way saves time in the long run.

The noise when reversing from the left CV axle is getting worse... I'll have to find time to replace it soon.

They really aren't hard to change out. You just have to get the right socket for the outer nut and you will be golden.

I got it wired up, guise. Car phone from a 2000 Navigator wired up and connected to the factory radio.

It's still analog and needs converting. However, it IS wired up correctly, and the radio does acknowledge and sense the phone. As soon as any button on the phone is pressed, the radio mutes, and enters phone mode.

once the call is completed, or times out (no buttons are pressed for a small period of time while not making or receiving a call), it will revert to what it was playing. FM, AM, CD, etc.

I've never even considered the need to remove the wheel to get to the oil filter. Always just reach up, spin it off, and replace. Simple. I have a 5.4. Is it different with a 4.6, Maybe?
Changing out the half shaft is pretty easy. Borrowed / rented the socket from AutoZone.

I have the 4.6 and I just reach up and grab it. Never had an issue getting to it. Speaking of oil changes... It looks like everyone needed to do an oil change because I just bought oil today and planned on doing it, but I got rained out. I'll have to do it tomorrow.

Half shafts on my truck were stupid easy. Ford put plenty of room to pull it out without tearing anything apart.

Also the 5.4 here... maybe I'm being obtuse. I just found it a major pain to get up there with my hand from underneath. The biggest problem was the first time I did it the previous owner had spun that filter on way too tight and i didn't have a strap wrench that would fit up in the spot. That might have colored my opinion

Half shaft will have to happen in the next two weekends... fall turkey season starts soon.
