Hoping this simplifies things. https://www.etrailer.com/p-118242.html

No idea why my buddy spliced crap years ago when he borrowed her to tow a trailer.
Did you already order ? If not, hit RA. You may be surprised with what they carry, and what they charge for the same stuff.

But I'm not sure it would be very easy to do if even possible with stranded core wire.
It's actually easier with stranded wire than solid core

Tonight I installed a
Stebel Nautilus Compact Truck Mini Air Horn Stebel Nautilus Compact Truck Mini Air Horn
. Install was pretty straightforward, although I would have prefered they include some of the quick connects (at least the ones that attach to the horn terminals).

There was virtually no change in volume (only one dB increase about 3' in front of the truck), but the this horn adds a 300 Hz tone, and makes the truck sound more like a truck.

Comparison Video:

Was it worth the $50? Eh, maybe not, but it definitely sounds different, and I do like it.

.

Is there any other ? Been around for as long as I can remember. The 63/37/personal favorite for wire.

I might have to order up a pound of the 60/40 myself before someone decides "leaded solder is bad, and should be banned."
