When I first bought the truck, that was the reason for buying it. blown engine and drop the 4BT into it. But talked my self out of doing it. Still wish I had went that way.

I want a 4bt and SAS as my ultimate project. With at least a 10" lift. Ima wait till my motor gives out and keep it as a project and get myself a another f150....plan anyway

WOW did not know Cummins made a ISX 4 cylinder engine? Can you get me a link to info on one of these Unicorn's? But I see an issue with any new over head cam in a sway like this.
(1) cost of engine and everything that would go along with it? Figure it would be 3X the cost of an old 4BT.
(2) Electronics would be an issue to get everything to work. Where the 4BT hook up the kill switch and run until its out of fuel.
(3) Figure any newer engine like that would be far and few between on the used market.
Never heard of the Dirt Everyday? Guess I'm behind times again as normal.

I did a search on a ISX 4 cylinder and did not come up with anything? I did find and know about the ISF 3.8/2.8. Is that the one your talking about? Bruiser Conversions’ did one in a jeep. Love the ideal but lots of extra work and again engine not easy to find. Best price on a ISF I have found was $6000 and still had to buy a few parts to even Finnish it out to use.
I would love to learn more about these new engines. But my reason to do a 4BT swap is ease of doing it. Almost free HP upgrades and no electronics to go out like newer engines. And best of all, NO EPA crap on a 4bt.

Fellas I need some extreme help here. I'm in search for some badass exhausts. I'm already getting long tube headers. I'm looking for deep tone, I really don't want the clasp/clacking noise when i hit it. I heard BORLA, Magna-flow, and Carven. I get warehouse prices for borla and Magna flow so I'm going with those to save an extra buck. Should I do True-dual, 2 in 1 out????? HELP
