Delphi is not a bad brand at all. By the time he is 19 he can help if this one goes bad. Lol

Greased the front end on the king ranch this morning. And just a heads up for everyone I found a vehicle that's worse oil change wise then a 5.4 that's a 5.8 in a 95 F150 on the ground. The axle moves in 2 spots and you can't get the filter in or out from under. You have to get it from the top

Nothing, lol. I still don't have her back yet, though I'm hoping it's soon.

Managed to finally beat, wrestle, and wrench that bastard fan off, and get some of the water pump bolts out. The A/C bracket bolts are trying to me now. Tomorrow, or another day. I have fixed bigger pieces of than this, and didn't even want to keep them!

Glad I can change my oil filter sitting on a stool. In front of the drivers front tire. And right behind the front bumper.

Sold the truck today.

Well, almost did, without even trying.

It was actually rather weird, I was walking into the corner store by me to get a drink and as I was going in, a guy asks "Is that your King Ranch". I said yes, and he was like "you want to sell it? I have been looking for one and I love that color". I kind of laughed and said sure, for $10,000. The guy does not even bat an eye and says "How about $7,000 cash"? Took me back and for half a second, I thought about it. Said no thanks but appreciate the offer. He gives me his number if I change my mind.

I have never even thought about selling it. I have had it for 3 years and driven it for 2 years. $7000 is probably what I have into it total (not counting my time doing stuff, but I don't count that, I enjoy wrenching), so that would just be a break even number, and then I would have to find another one and start over. I guess if he gave me $10,000 cash I would have done it though.
I am just at a point now where I think I have gotten most everything taken care of that has been neglected or just needs changing after 180,000 miles/15 years. I think the only mechanical thing I have left is the steering linkage (and it really is not bad, but the rubber boots are cracking). That is only $100 for parts and another $80 for alignment.
A few cosmetic issues, driver seat just starting to tear, will order a new cover off e-bay, then the hood looking like crap with the clear peeling (don't care) and the drivers bedside needing repaint (don't care about that either). I also need to get around to finishing up my fog light HID retro.
I figure I have at least another 5 years left before I even think about getting rid of this truck. Maybe by then there will be a truck out that I like the looks of (hate the look of the new Ford and Chevy, Nissan looks horrible, Toyota, yuck. Dodge is the only almost decent looking to me, and the concepts for their new redesign look interesting).

Today I finally had the time to fix my rear super cab door that didn't want to open. Also detailed the insides, and washed the outside. Needing to get some rubbing alcohol to remove the sap from the trees in the apartment complex. Soon to get to the fun stuff like getting my subwoofer/amp installed, wheel/tire package, head and tail lights, and a tool box for the bed.

I use the 3m adhesive remover. Pretty easy deal. Spray-> let it sit-> wipe. Repeat as needed.
