I Replaced the GEM module, pretty easy job. I also, had my windshield re-sealed.
As well, I installed a magnaflow cat back exhaust, since my old muffler was rusted out. Love the sound.

Washed her up again. Love it when she's clean.

What were your symptoms and reason for replacing it?

Symptoms:
The headlights would come on my themselves. Key fob, did not work. The lights were set to auto, and moving the switch to off had no effect. Then what sounded like a relay was clicking on and off from the fuse box (under steering column). Then without the key in the ignition the truck turned itself to the "on" position (radio came on, instrument lights on, needles moved).

Reason:
See above

I just left the battery disconnect until my new part came in. It was only $268 online (US), ford Canada wanted $740 + tax, no thanks ford, gouge much.

Cheers

Thank ya! I be proud of it. I used Mothers Carbanua wax and it gave it a very nice shine with only one coat. I'd suggest using that for a good clean shine.

I started using their Brazilian wax and really like it. Have you clay barred it before?
