I'm here in New Mexico and we just fit about 4'' of snow and iv been drifting on purpose and just showing off but 2 nights ago it got bad it froze over and people couldn't even go up some of the roads. I just went throught the arroyos because it was snowed through and fun but I could control who slid into me lol

I used to have a thing for that. I built it so as the winch pulled it wanted to dig its self in.
It got stole from the back of my truck and I have never gotten around to building another one.

But ya I hear ya, there's not always something to hook to. I carry 2 30' straps and my winch has 100 feet of cable so I usually can find something.

I thought about the whole winch anchor thing too. They seam to work pretty well from what I've seen on youtube But I've never seen it tried with frozen ground. BTW what size is your winch? < nevermind I checked your profile thing.

Lol yeah you won't see one till you stop testing out throttle response, when I got my spectre CAI my mpgs dropped a whole lot. But its not my fault my little 4.6 sounds good

Ya I have never tried it when it's -30 but -15 It pounded into the snow/ground.

I actually used my truck/winch to pull my semi backwards up to my cattle loading shoot today because it was to slick to back up the slight hill it was on.
Worked great!
