They are in front of each bank on your engine...the plug wires run to them. You'll know when they go because you'll have a misfire (your truck will shake at idle and on acceleration) and a flashing check engine light. They are a piece of cake (1/2 hour) to replace and only cost about $55 for a NAPA brand. Motorcraft will be considerably more, around double. The NAPA I have works juuuuust fine.

What truck do you have. Year/Model/Engine size

That will help you get some answers.

I dont know what are the differences in each truck but my 97 F250 has COP coil on plug which is a coil pack on each plug. Thats how mine is.

just remember when you replace the wires, its always a good idea to replace one at a time.. saves you the hassle of figuring out witch one goes where..

first i dont believe you have c.o.p.s (coil on plug) im pretty sure you have 2 coil packs in front of the passanger head that your plug wires run too simular to the 6-cylinder one torqum showed.
