Default what are the best shocks for a 3" lift?

ohk so I have aftermarket torsion keys and shocks that came on my truck when I got it. so my question is where do I get shocks that will hold the truck up a little firmer and higher. because stock shocks end up being almost 3" too short.

Stock shocks work when with just torsion keys. Still plenty of travel in them.

Right but I have aftermarket torsion keys and about 9" of space above my 28670 17's. Will a bilstein 5100 work or is it too much?

Bilstein or fabtech. I have bilstein shocks with the torsion bars maxed and it works fine. Plus, like I mentioned in another thread. When bilstein shocks get worn out they can be re built for cheap

How do I rebuild them? Does it require special tools? And how long have you had yours and how rough are you on them? The reason I ask is when I off road I get pretty rough and just destroyed the front passenger side.

Bilstein's corporate headquaters is right down the street from my house and that's where I found out its possible, then I took my truck to a shop called off road warehouse and they rebuilt them for $35 a shock since I don't have the space or tools to do it. Idk how to do it yourself but call bilstein and they could tell you. ..

I bought my truck two years ago and the original owner had them on for awhile I believe so I'm guessing around 5 years. They've been through a lot of off roading and desert running last year and the year before that so they were worn out
