well.. just got done installing body lift

The radiator is connected to the body. The body is raised 3 inches. This means the mechanical cooling fan stays in place on the engine while the shroud is moving upwards staying attached to the radiator. Either you can cut the shroud like the OP, or you can take it out and reinstall with the drop brackets so that the fan doesnt hit the shroud that is now raised 3 inches.

Thank you
so... to give you an idea. your radiator shroud has 4 brackets/clips made out of plastic. two on the top that hang from the top of the radiator and two towards the bottom on each side.
so now saying.. you are lifting the body of the truck away from the frame that the motor is connected to, the shroud has to stay in the same place to stay functional. so what you need to do is cut the old brackets off if it to fit around the lower radiator hose on one side and the radiator drain plug on the other side.
its hard to explain without a picture. if you saw it, you would understand. i should have taking one... ill see if a can take the radiator cover off tonight to get a picture for you so you can see the drop brackets and what brackets had to be cut
that's weird.. the only that was left in my kit after i was done was two lift blocks. two body mount bolts and because i have the 5.4 and didnt need them, the drop bracket for the shift linkage and the two bolts nuts and washers for that.

Haha yeah but I also made the very intelligent decision to let my buddies work on it (voluntarily) for a day when I was working.
I wasnt there supervising and found a few flaws in the lift installation upon further inspection. Wont do that again...
