Default Weird electrical gremlins

I installed a new magnaflow catback exhaust.

The next day I noticed that the headlights were on. When I went to check on the truck the key fob, did not work. The lights were set to auto, and moving the switch to off had no effect. Then what sounded like a relay was clicking on and off from the fuse box (under steering column). Then without the key in the ignition the truck turned itself to the "on" position (radio came on, instrument lights on, needles moved). Putting The key in the ignition had no effect on this. The truck also would not start.

Since it was late I disconnected the battery and left it off for the night. I checked and there are no wires burned through or ground out from the new exhaust.

Today I re-connected the battery and everything seems normal.

Any ideas where to start troubleshooting this problem.

Thanks

Possible GEM malfunctioning. Search the forum for this. Lots of issues others have had may help you. I don't think this has anything to do with your cat backs.

Replaced the GEM and the problem is solved. I also had the windsield re-sealed, just to be safe.
