Should have been more clear using it like a truck lol. I don't tow often myself and when I do it's not even a tow it's a bed full of furniture lol. Also thanks for your input let's keep it going!! 😬

To go along with MBB, I would suggest you use 5W-20 oil and a good filter (not FRAM).

here in Illinois you need to be a good body man and welder to fix all the rusty frames.

I've seen many where the bodies and frames are toast while the engine and trans still run strong.

My grandfather-in-law used to shut his engine off going down long hills. lol. I tried to tell him that engine wear still occurred but he wasn't having it.

Do not flush your trans. Drop the pan and replace fluid and filter that way. Keep a good Motorcraft pcv valve to reduce oil consumption.

If your add a significant amount of tire add the appropriate amount of gear. Your trans will thank you.

I've got 230k original owner miles on my 2000 4.6 auto. I've done nothing but oil changes every 5k, air filters every 30k, pcv every 60k, trans flush every 60k and my truck has not had a single engine/trans repair and drives like the day I bought it.
