Best tire size for 99 xlt
I have a 1999 xlt 2wd with a 3in lift and was wondering what tires would look the best on it. Was considering 285/70r16s but open to suggestions

My '98 XLT 4x4 came with the stock steel 16" wheels and when I did the 3" lift they looked small to me. So I found a nice set of 17" Ford OEM slotted alloys for $200 which came on the 'OffRoad Package' trucks and they look a lot better.
Mounted a set of 255/75s instead of the more common 265/70s, they might look good on your 2WD. in my experience taller skinnier tires work better in mud. I had to order them but it was worth it.

Yep, Firestone Destination A/Ts. I think BFGoodrich and a few others (Goodyear Wranglers?) makes that size in a 17" A/T but the Firestones were the only ones I could get on short notice. Nice aggressive tread and not too noisy on the highway. $1100 for the set but worth it IMO.

What is the best brand of toilet paper? As with most things..."best" is not the same for everyone.
Personally I would say 285/75/16 as they are big enough and you do not need to regear.
