Default Water coming in back windshield

I bought a 2003 F-150 XL yesterday with 93,500 miles on it. After I had already purchased the vehicle I noticed two small puddles behind the bench seat. I wiped them up and came out this morning after it rained again and there were more puddles. I have the vinyl floor so its hard to tell where its coming from but there are no water marks on the rear windshield. The cloth on the back of the cab seems to be wet. Any ideas on what to do? Where I live the dealer isn't responsible for this type of repair. Thanks

Have same problem on my 99. Took caulk gun with clear silicone and filled in the gaps between roof and window frame. So far so good.

You're gonna regret that. search the how-to section on here and f150online and there is a great write up on how to fix it for 20 bucks the right way by yourself with butyl tape. Fixed mine with the butyl tape and haven't had a problem all year.

Is it safe to pull off the cloth backing on the back of the cab to clean it off?

I did this last night. I pulled the whole window out and put all purpose 1 sided weather striping about mine after striping all the old black silicon off. And not a leak.

I mean the cloth that got soaked under the window for a month while it was sitting in the dealers lot. The floors vinyl but the piece under the window has marks and stains just wondering if it's a pain to take it off and clean?

Here's an awesome thread from F150online about resealing your window. I'm having the same issue as you - just have to find the time to repair it. Good luck!
