I dont know, but after watching the episode of ultimate factories were they tours the f150 plant it doesnt look like they mark the frames.

I watched some FBI show about where they caught some people stealing cars and scrubbing off the vins and the only one I remember were on the cab. I wish I could get it with a title

You could probably get the title if you got a hold of the bank and paid what was remaining on his loan...

It depends on the state, but I know in NY you can get a salvage title on a "composite" vehicle. I had a Jeep Wrangler with a rotted out frame. I bought a used frame from a shop that gave me a certificate of part transfer (or something along those lines) which said that I had legally purchased the frame from a licensed dismantler who had parted out the vehicle. When I went to the DMV with the certificate and the old title they were able to issue me a title with both vins.
