Default No HORSEPOWER

I have a 98 year model , with 144,000 miles... When I press the accelerator the truck does not get up and go... It actually bogs down like it is struggleing to move.... Any idea, need help

Sounds like it needs a tune up. When's the last time the plugs were changed? Does it sputter or shake at all?

Check/replace fuel filter, then test fuel pressure/volume if still lacking power.

I agree check fuel pressure/volume/quality. Super plugged air filter. Plugged cat converter. Plugged air filter and cat. would cause the truck no power all the time. Fuel problem typically the truck will somewhat pickup and go as you back off the throttle.

throttle position sensor (tps). test it or just replace it.. i believe there around 15 bucks last time i had to replace one for these trucks

It's sputtered, but will check those things today... Is sputtered but then slowly builds up and then goes...

I recently had a similar issue and it was actually a bad oxygen sensor. I replaced COPS, plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, both cats, tps, maf, injectors, and even a pcm. Have to love Ford diag skills. Finally found a tab regarding the issue

I took the vacuam lone off that comes from right behind the throttle, and goes to PCB valve on valve cover... It was refitted and meaning cut some off... Still no horse power.... With the cat if so how do u clean it or do u just have to get a new one???

Their is no cat on this truck ever.. their is s resinator.. so anymore ideas that anyone can think off....
