vacuum line location 97 f150 2wd
 

where does the thin black vac line hook up to the selector head, i see it goes thru the fire wall by the battery but can not find were it goes to.

There is a T fitting with a reed valve in front of it to prevent vacuum from being exhausted back to the manifold. On the other side of the T is the one line going to the firewall to the switch inside the cab and one going to a vacuum reservoir behind the battery tray.
