Upper Cab Leak - Need Help
After all this trouble, I got the windshield reset with the local glass shop. I did this opposed to just resealing the area of leakage which was not guaranteed. The windshield never broke which was good. There is a nice new thick black adhesive sealing the A-pillar to the glass from what I can see since I have yet to put the plastic moldings and sun visor back up. Sorry I dont know the terminology for urethane and primer in this scenario. I'm giving sufficient drying time and waiting for the next rain or will run a hose over my truck eventually to see if the problem is fixed. I spoke with the glass technicians for some Q & A. They said there was no rust. The comment of interest was along the lines of the incorrect urethane and primer combination had been used previously on my truck. They asked if my truck had work done on it previously for a leak or accident. I told them not to my knowledge and I have been the only owner of the vehicle. My retort puzzled them as well. I will hopefully post one more time here saying I have a dry cab.
I have a leak from above the passenger side that runs down the windshield along the A-pillar into the dash and ends up soaking the carpet near the kicker panel (among other things I cant see taking water).
I have already:
1. Went to a glass specialist who confirmed it was not a leak in the seal of the windshield (9 months ago this company resealed my back windshield as this problem happens to many late F-150s).
2. Glass specialist (dealership also) said the drain holes from the sunroof might be clogged and take a air compressor to the holes to blow out any obstruction. I did that at my auto shop and poured water atop my truck and it drained as it should underneath the vehicle.
Now, another rain event later, I still have the same leak occurring in the same location previously mentioned. Any ideas what to do next?

I hada a leak that ran inside and fried my fuse box.The lights /4 wheel drive lights would flash off and on and electric locks would engage/disengage if it was raining. The dealership fixed everything but the leak and I took it to a windshield shop and they said they have to replace Ford windshields all of the time as the ceramic ( black around the outside edge) seperates from the glass and allows water to get inside of the truck and in the main fuse box. I have not had any issues since this. Not sure if it is the same issue as you had but I hope it helps.
It is safe to say it was just a windshield leak. After all that run around I am just glad it is fixed. So now I have had my back windshield needing to be resealed after 7 years and the front windshield after 9 years. A shortcoming of Ford to say the least.
