True dual setup

I need to get an opinion from yall for a true dual setup on my '99 5.4. How does 2 94306 high flow cats with an H pipe to two 11" (or possibly 14") Magnaflow mufflers turned down sound to yall? It's 2.5" pipe by the way. I am still trying to figure out if I want to turn it down before or after the axle. If you have any suggestions please feel free to chime in. I just want to do this right the first time. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an interesting set up to me. I'm kinda curious on everyone else's opinion on this too. I only have one flowmaster with a Y pipe and 2 1/4" pipe to the bumper with 3" tips.

Yea, all I have now is a 14" Magnaflow turned down with 4 cats. It's too quiet.

there will be a lot of drone if you dump it before the axle, if you dump it after it will be better. but otherwise it sounds good. and you might loose a lil low end pwr.

Ive got 4 cats and a 14" magnapack and it sounds wonderful to me...I can only imagine 2 highflow cats and 2 packs. that would ROCK!

I'm going for more interior sound and a lot more exterior sound. lol

ya i konw what you mean. you like drone? youll be able to hear it over your stereo and tire whine and ppl talking to ya....I like it a lil bit but not too much.

Well, I like it to a certain point. I don't think it'll be as bad as Flowmasters. I cannot stand the drone from those things. My friends have em and I honestly don't see how they can drive their trucks more than a few miles.

x2 on that. my good buddy Brent has a 5.3L silvy reg. lowered on 20s. and he has the shortest flow muff. i have seen and he has a turndown tip right after the muffler. you can hear it over the CAI and everything else. you can sum it up as a bunch of racket rather than a V8. but please, lemme know how it goes.

I want to do the same thing as you and its gonna sound beastly :) oh and long time since we talked, where ya been?

Yea, I know a X is better than H for performance, but I dont need it. It's a truck after all. ;) I want the sound. And yea long time no talk. Been busy with offseason training and such. and school and football just started back up. lol
