Truck will not turn over
Full back story is in this thread here.
2002 F150 with 5.4. Truck has not been driven regularly for about a year, last started in November/December of 2012.
Problem I am having now is it will not turn over. I can here a "clunk" of the starter engaging the flywheel, but the engine is not turning over. I have already pulled the starter and had it checked, it is fine (and as said, I can hear it working). I have a new battery, so plenty of power there.
I cannot turn the the engine over manually.
When it was at my aunts house, I got it to start for about 30 seconds. It was running really rough and smoking horribly. It then just died. I got it to turn over once or twice more but not started. Ever since then it just makes that clunk sound.
I checked the oil after the fact (I should have checked before, I know) and it took 2 qts just to get a reading on the dipstick, 4 total to get it about full.
I was talking to the parts guy when getting the starter checked (said he used to be a Ford Mechanic) and he said it is either a seized engine or possibly it could be "hydrolocked" from an injector stuck open. I am hoping the latter, so today I started pulling plugs. I got the front 2 off each side so far. It is way to hot today so I am done for now, but once I get the other 4 out I will see if it turns over.
So if it does not turn over, I basically have a seized engine?

Try offering it a treat? Or get it to lay down first. Pull the plugs and try the bendix is working but the starter isn't turning crawl under it and jump the starter terminals with a screwdriver my newest parts truck is that way

Well, I got the plugs out today. Really not too bad except COP #7 bolt is a pan to get out. The other back ones are a little annoying though.
All plugs came out easily and look like crap (167,xxx miles on truck, not sure if they have ever been changed).
Bad news is the engine still does the same thing. Wont turn over with the starter or manually at the crank.
I am thinking it is locked up.
I had heard of people putting PB Blaster in the plug holes to free up the piston so figured why not. I sprayed a little in each cylinder and was going to let it sit for a day or so.
As I was hooking up my battery charger I was trying to close the hood (it is about to rain here) and it would not close with the charger clamp (it sticks up when connected) so I was looking for another place to connect it. I saw the battery cable went to the firewall solenoid so I connected it there, not knowing I was bypassing the key. I plugged the charger in and the starter engaged and it sounded like it was turning over very slowly. I disconnected it and then tried again and watched the crank pulley and saw it turned about 1/8 of a turn. It is moving, but straining very hard to do it.
I figured a little PB Blaster did some good, so I sprayed in a lot more (about 30 ml in each cylinder). I am letting it sit till tomorrow and will see what happens.
My fingers are crossed that it turns over easier. If so I will hook everything back up and see if it starts.
I really don't want to spend $3000 on a new engine with a chassis with 167,000 miles (I have no idea on the condition of the transmission or anything else really) so i hope this works.

Battery is fine, only a month or so old, and load tested at my mechanic to make sure it is good.
That and a dead battery would not account for it not turning over manually.

Good to hear the PB did something... I remember that truck now, and I'm really hoping you do get it running again. It would be pretty awesome, and I'm sure you'd feel like it was quite the accomplishment. Definitely staying tuned in on what happens. I like seeing older vehicles roaring back to life. With the fact it being a 10th gen 150, it makes it all the better.

yup, you were in the other thread.
Also, I could not leave it alone. I went and tried it again and it turns over better, but still not fast.
This time I put about 5 ml of motor oil in each cylinder. I am going to wait till tomorrow since I don't think the oil will leak past the cylinders as fast as the PB Blaster did.
I know the engine will probably burn oil like crazy if it ever does start and get running.
Like I said in the other thread, I don't need this truck, so it is a project for me to work on when I am able. I wish I had the tools and know how to do an engine swap at home because I would like to try it, but no dice there.
and here are the plugs:

Reminds me of a chainsaw we got from when my sister went through her divorce... Thing was near impossible to pull. I took out the spark plug to check it, and thought of spraying some carb. cleaner in there. A couple pulls, and it was smooth as silk, and cranked up also.
Those plugs do look pretty bad, time for a new set indeed... I think the oil will be better also. It'll soften up the seals and everything and be much more effective. It will take longer indeed, but i see more benefit out of it.

My grandad had a old 302 that locked up from sitting granted it was sitting for like 20+ years he poured tranny fluid in the cylinders I guess it's a littles less dense than motor oil I'm not a viscosity guy so I couldn't tell ya but he poured let it sit for about a week and repeated process for 2 weeks and then cycled the key with some gas in the carb and bam started up. That motor was locked down too we tried everything pulled the plugs out with a 4ft breaker bar and it would not move but after a cpl weeks of tranny fluid in the cylinders she came to life. As far as oil consumption goes I know in that car it was about a quart every 1500 miles or so but the car also prob had 300k miles on it.
