truck is missing
hi everyone,
i have a 2002 f150 xlt 5.4l v8. Ive had this problem where it starts missing and throwing cyclinder missfire codes. pulled the coils and they were wet. from their i changed the intake manifold gaskets problem returned, next changed the entire intake. now im having the problem again. here is my question if i pull the coil again and it is wet. what else could it be? a bad head? oh and ive also changed out the thermostat and gasket for that as well. any help with this issue would be great.

Which coils are wet? If it's 3 and 4 check your heater hoses.

"Wet" with what?
Water? Oil? Antifreeze?

As JCR suggested, if it is the passenger side, most notably cylinders 3 and 4, look at your heater hoses. I've seen it get to cylinder 2 before, but 3 and 4 are most prominently the recipient of a leaky heater hose.

The engine code is number 7 and number 8 cylinder misfire. I pulled the coils and they are wet with antifreeze. Could it be a bad head? Mind you I've had misfire codes come up on both sides of the engine throughout this process. I've checked all my hoses checked vaccum leaks. I'm not certain but I think it Is coming from the I intake manifold. I'm checking a few more things but I think I'm going to end up taking it to Ford. Any other ideas anyone else has would be greatly appreciated though.
