Default transmission id tag

So I have a 1999 f150 v8 4.6 4x4 and tranny is shot. According to Haynes manual the id tag is on right side (passenger or drivers? I can't find any tag, only thing I see is on bottom on drivers side has 9V. any help? Pics?

Look at the door jamb sticker:

U=4R70W
E=4R100
With a 4.6 you probably have a 4R70W, I think they have 14 bolts in the pan.

Yea those tags don't last long and fall off, you don't need it regardless. As said, the door jam place card is good enough, = model year and trans ident.

Also if you plan on keeping the vehicle, Haynes /Chilton is just a better than nothing manual and not always accurate. A Ford Service manual is much better, DVD or hard copy. Those can be had on E bay.
