Just got on Amsoil's webpage to look for a dealer and I found 2 guys that live within 15 minutes of me. In fact, I think one of them is a guy that works at the BMW dealer. I only know the guy by his first name which is the same, but also the address is really close to the house of the mechanic that works on my Brothers M3.

Do the independent dealers mark it up a bunch?

usually it it's the opposite since they have a lower overhead

It's only 30$ to be an Amsoil dealer and 20$ to be a preferred customer. I sold Amsoil to friends and coworkers but it really wasn't that great of a deal IMO. Their whole thing is filtration, the oil isn't magic like Amway claims. I use Mobil 1 for everything now.
