Was the fuse a 5 amp?

It's hard to imagine that not popping from the issue you found. I guess the PO could have swapped it out though.....

It was a 5 amp. Just checked again in daylight to confirm, it's in tact. PO?

Oh ok, thanks.

So any tips on troubleshooting/fixing the wiring issue? How do I identify from the harness which wire is for the solenoid B? Will I need to change out the entire harness?

In this case, shift solenoid 2 is what you are after.... not sure why the terminology is different on your code you've read.

BTW, I wouldn't say 100% that the wire colors will be correct for the diagrams. HOWEVER, the pin location will be correct. Just be aware that I've seen the wrong colors listed, depending on the year. Ford is pretty good about keeping you on your toes.

Had to go out of town yesterday, apologies. I am looking at it now. Here are pics of the harness and the burnt wire (with the red arrow). Will see if I can follow the color codes from your guides. The burnt wire is blackened, of course.

Good luck! Hopefully you can repair it without too much headache.
