Tranny Fluid Type??

what are you guys using in the tranny? do my truck have a tranny filter? is there a good oil i can buy or is the cheap ATF just as good? i know my jeep tj was hard to get into gear i ran Redline MT-90 and she been perfect everysince. i noticed the other day i was driving and my truck seemed like she dropped drown from 5th to 4th but i never heard her do it since.

I'm assuming you have an auto? Yes, all automatic transmissions have filters. As far as fluid goes, all '97-'03 F150's and pretty sure all Ford automatics in general during these years and up, use Mercon V and nothing else.
