I posted these two pictures in another thread about lift kits.

Here is a picture of a truck lifted by cranking the torsion bars. Probably about 3" of lift.

Here is the SAME truck with a quality 4" lift installed.

Every truck is different ... You may Start to see wear in another year or 3 but other trucks you may see wear with in a month or longer.. But it's a proven fact that cranking t bars does cause wear and puts alot of stress on the front end bearing... End of story

That is true but so does putting on larger tires and larger wheels. Its all just luck of the draw. But I hate having a truck with the nose down so I'm glad I went the way I did

Turning them up to level out the front end is one thing, cranking them fully untill there is no droop left in the front suspension is another.

Got a question!? I got my tbars turned up, not all the way but it sits level, and my down travel on my front suspension suffers, would getting longer shocks help this?

No. The shocks aren't limiting the suspension. You only have so muck downward travel with the stock setup. When you crank the bars, you use up the downward travel.
It's the same as putting a jack under the frame, and jacking it up until your tires are ready to leave the ground.

Look at the pictures I posted above.

Totally agree, anyone that turns their bars all the way up is asking for trouble and a rough ride
