Default Tool Box won't lock

I have a Kobalt tool box that does open and close but the lock is jammed and will not move to lock it. Not sure what to do. Thanks

Get some spray oil and work the lock back and forth as much as you can. I would recommend not using WD-40 for this application as WD-40 in my experience tends to collect a lot of dirt and debris and make your problem worse over time.

It's a good one tho

But what do you expect, the OP doesn't know if it takes a key. If it does it must be a secret key because he is not telling us. How is anyone suppose to help?

It does take a key. I thought that was assumed I'm sorry about that. If there's anymore info that you may need just let me know I'm happy to. 👍

For the tumbler, I'd squirt a cleaner in there first, like say PB blaster or Kroil...something that breaks down corrosion. Then keep the door open and blow compressed air into it to get the garb out. Do it two or three times if you have to , until it begins to function again. PB blaster only truly works well for 2 or 3 minutes, so blow it out then. Still no joy, then let it soak over night and repeat the next day.

Once it begins to function freely, hit it w/graphite grease. Comes in a little bottle and the stuff is formulated to keep those moving parts inside working for long long time.

Wow ok thanks. I'll see if that works!
