Tires and sound and stuff

Sportster: Oh, I think I'll get long exhaust tips then, cause $500 on exhaust seems like a lot, especially for a truck that I paid $1100 for. Any differences between chrome and stainless steel? Also, a pic would be awesome. Definitely going to keep it the same size. I'm not a big fan of the whole raspy redneck sound, but it's cool if you like if. To each his own you know? Tackle. Thanks. I'm gonna see about a 3.5, that should look good. Resonated, or not? I'm assuming not
Chrome will rust in 6 months (or less) but is cheaper, stainless won't rust. Here's a picture of my tips, if you want more let me know. You can't see where the tips meet the tail pipes because they're long enough to hide that. Short tips won't do that. They'll run you about $35 a piece, maybe less where you're at. Those are 3.5, aboput as big as you're going to want to go.

I hate to bring up a dead thread, but my dad recently said that I could be liable, because I have smoked taillights, I was just wondering if this is true. I think the law states they have to be visible for 500 feet, which I'm not sure if even the stock ones are during the day, but I have a picture of the truck with the tailights smoked, but still looking bright as hell from about 150-200 feet. Also the person who hit me was cited for speeding and failure to avoid a collision by the on duty police officer (about 3 cars away when the accident happened) What would you guys think my liability is? Hopefully none

When stopped, legally there is nothing to require you to have your foot on the brake, although that is best practice when other vehicles are behind. So the vehicle that hit you is at fault, period. Don't mention your lenses.
However, lamps must meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 which specifies the photometrics of light output. It might look cool to reduce lamp visibility but why place yourself at risk? The CHMSL center high mounted stop lamps were found to significantly reduce rear impacts...why take step back?
As far as someone giving a paper stipulating that their mod still meets FMVSS 108....baloney. Ask to see the ETL test lab report with results.

I always keep my foot on the break when stopped. It's just a habit, I guess. I mean visibility was probably reduced a little bit by the tint, but I also did it very light, as I didn't want to reduce visibility (and didn't want it to streak too much). I guess I just won't mention it and hope for the best. I haven't heard any news in 2 days. Is that normal? Or should the other people involved be contacting me regularly? (Obviously I've never been in an accident before now.)

Also my high mounted stop lamp has all LED bulbs in it, because it makes it easier to see when backing up, and provides more trunk light, which is nice sometimes.
