I just bought my first ford pickup(woohoo) glad i did, just wondering the guy i bought it from said he didnt know if it had keyless entry cause the other owner didnt have them/lost them. Its a 98 F150 Lariat 4x4 offroad not sure how i can check?

the module is located behind e -brake on the inside fire wall.left of brake pedal . try turning key on and off 7 or 8 times the locks will go up and down

So i look for the module by the brakes? And if its there how do i go about getting new remotes made?

Ok so my truck does fifgure it did. I was able to get ahold of a used remote that works. Now its from my dads 500, and i programmed it to see if it works, and it does , but it now controles both my truck and my dads car, is there any way to clear them completely and start over?

My instructions say, that at the time of programming your new remote, all existing remotes will be erased if they are not reprogrammed at the same time with the new remote.

So just as a guess, if you were to set your truck into programming mode and not program your dads remote, would it erase his from your truck?

well the remote is one from his car but i repregramed for my truck so now it works on both at the same time LOCK boths lock hit it twice both honk and flash same with unlock

thats actually pretty funny. It really is not supposed to be doing that. My guess is you should reprogram the remote to your truck again and if that doesnt work try buying a new one off of ebay. They are pretty cheap.
