Default tire question

I recently got a new to me 98 f150 xlt 5.4 4x4 extended cab. For stock tires it says 245/75/16 and when I got it, it had 265/75/16 and when I got new tires I put 265/75/16. Are the t bars cranked on it or are they able to fit tires that size from the factory. I can put a picture later if anyone wants me too.

Yeah they are able to fit those size, the fx4 model which I currently own come stock 265x70r17 which is roughly the same size, I've heard you can go bigger with the tbars cranked all the way but I've never tried it, bout to install a lift over the weekend and go even bigger

That tire size was a factory option. Fx4's and off roads got it I think.

I wondered why it had 265 and it seems to sit a little higher than most the other 98s around the area. I just wondered if the t bars were cranked or not

Ya sounds like the T bars were possibly cranked before you got it, you can fit 35's under there with em cranked I know that, theres a thread on here somewhere dedicated to pics of trucks like that
