If you have the mechanism installed, which I believe all have after 1998, then drill the plastic cover or get another from the bone yard with the lever and install it. It is like the wiring harness, it is cheaper to use one harness, so they probably make one column and add what is necessary to make it fit a particular ordered vehicle. If you think about it, there aren't a super amount of F150's without tilt columns in Gen 10's and newer.

Here is a breakdown of the column and it only shows it with the mechanism installed. My other pics don't show any without tilt.

I just checked out our local wrecking yards online, and found 13 tilt columns and NO non=tilt ones. That says something in itself. lol

I was thinking after you mentioned that you had the actuator rod/w gear going down your column. I went and checked your profile and see that you own a 90 F150. That is a total different ball of wax.

90 has two recessed screws, one on each side of the column. They require a special tool to remove them normally. If your column is pivoting there, then it is a tilt unit. The column would have to have the center outer trim section replaced to be able to add the lever. I don't think you can drill out the pot metal and make it work well.

Anyways, if you have a 90, then follow the second paragraph. The tilt release is shown in the lower picture, circled (poorly) in red. If it doesn't have this, then it isn't an actual tilt column.

Default It does

Thanks.
The pivot pins actually take an 8/32 machine screw. Screw them into the pins and pull them out.
The thingy that you circled lets the flasher arm hit the high beam flasher.
The tilt mechanism is on the underside of the column.
When installing the actuator, the pins have to come out and the wheel has to be dropped.
My goof up was that i got it all put together and had to take it back apart to raise the wheel to my preference.
Thanks for the reply.
