My guess is Cardone didn't put the caps on the ends. Rock Auto says they're sending replacements.

LOL... I've been messing with this thing, and was pretty upset that I wasn't getting my full 2Gbps. Then I decided to check my adapter's specs. Turns out I only bought a 1Gbps adapter.

 

Oh! So that's how you know the spindle is full.


(It was turned exactly away from me as I was pumping it full.)
