I don't like the idea of split boots. It hurts my OCD.

No experience with them... just don't care for the concept.

Split boots
Yes, I have dealt with them at Firestone in the early eighties
They last about 5 minutes
That is if you can get them assembled and glued properly
Just buy a conventional boot and buy a clamp tool
I have 3 clamp tools but still take the newer GM stuff to the dealer to get those factory boots clamped with their special tools

Same. I've never seen a split boot that didn't fail quickly.

Congrats Brewster! I'm still 17-18 years out. Although, I might go a touch longer to get a full pension. The state gives full pension at 20 years.
