Does she have epilepsy? Been through that stuff with my father. Can be pretty scary.

Fortunately, no, she does not have epilepsy. Hers is caused by a TBI. In 2015 She fell about 18 feet off of a ladder, according to the EMT. She gets massive migraines, and it messes with her optical nerve. Fireworks and flashing lights will also trigger it for her.

Brew is correct... Topamax is indeed an epilepsy med as well. They decided this was the best medicine for her.

It sucks to see... there's not much you can do but comfort them and wait it out.

Good morning, Thinkers.

Whitey - sending prayers and good thoughts your way.

sorry I've been radio silent , folks. I got back home Thursday and have been playing a massive game of catch up. Mom is doing better at the skilled nursing/PT place . They had her up and walking around and doing exercises within 24 hours of getting there. And within that 24 hours, I think she ate more than she had eaten for the 4 weeks prior. She'll be there a while on IV antibiotics , and getting stronger through that work, but is on the right road.

Brew, I had to set my prints again. Sometimes I have to lick my index finger before I put it on there for it to work, lol. Not sure why, but it works. I decided it wasn't happy because my thumbs are always dirty/cut/burnt - so I used my index as a backup.

Gla to hear that good news, Ohio! Welcome back.
