Any of you good with strength of materials calculations? I'm trying to figure out how thin I can go on a plywood "table top" and having a surprisingly difficult time figuring it out. All the calculators I've found are either for structural sheathing or are just wrong.

If not, are you concerned about deflection or bearing failure "punch thru"? or other?
Yes, but those tables are for structural sheathing, which I'm not using.

I'm building a drawer system/sleeping platform, so I'll have static and point loads.

These lower ball joints were sans grease. Full of rust! My metal recycling guy dropped by tonight, and I let him take all of the crap I took off. So, this is the best pic that I have.

With some decent framing/bracing, 7/16" should be adequate. (I'm going from memory on what was in my travel trailer.)

DeWalt may have won out over the others according to the inter webs. Ask any farmer, folks that require the best. They'll tell yuh the Milwaukee hands down.

For the old style, hand pumps....stay away from the pistol grips and bleeder buttons. The older Lincolns where all right, not much to them. A old gun assembled and bled right are just fine. You would surprised how many can't get that right lol.

Recall installing a few more zerks on the 150. Can't recall if they were the ball joints. However I do remember zerking a few of those joints on the front end. PITA installing those at 90* on both sides.

Sorry, did you care to know all that lol.
