HF Cats arrived today, one more week till the exhaust is FINALLY finished. Next time i will learn to weld before i start doing this kind of project LOL

Lincoln, Miller, Hobart. were my only choices. Same price bracket..any one of those is fine w/me. TSC sold Hobart...which is actually Miller. They are little bricks , reliable as hell.
It'll be ready for work out of the box.

 

Spun barrel cats. Used those with my last LT build. Not the greatest but they're short and I chopped them even shorter. Truck had the longest LT's made for that thing...needed all the room I could get.

No codes once finished though....good enough!

Hahaha, dont the Harbor Feight Cats smell like sulfur right out of the box? High Flow.

 

I'm going to be playing muffler shop soon too... I can't believe I got this for 42 dollars, shipped. It's a Walker Sound FX series.



Other than that, it's pretty close to ready to sell. Although... I think the squeak in the FEAD is from the WP now. Not sure if that's worth my time.



EDIT..... For comparison's sake, this is what it looked like when I brought it home.

 

Parents had a 998' Eddie Bauer, loved that Explorer, my dad had it for 14 years before he sold it.

 

This is their 4th Explorer (it's a 2000). They own 2 Escapes now though.

My Dad rolled his 95, and my sister rolled the 98.... he had a 91 that I scrapped. It had a seized M5OD, and was full of cancer.

 

I need exhaust work on my offroader again. I called seven local shops and all I managed was to schedule one appointment for an estimate. Colorado SUCKS for exhaust shops!

 

In NY there were tons of them, even Meinakes did custom work, i assumed they did that here too, the one guy looked at it and went, there is a lot going on under there, and since im a NC inspection facility, i cant even inspect that. I expect that answer from a NY shop, not an NC shop, I go to a local shop, guy goes, yeah i can take care of it for ya, made an appointment and inspected it without even looking at the thing haha.
