I got that damn push nut off there by pounding a 14mm socket on it, and just letting the impact wear it down. Cal Ranch had new ones for 50 cents. That sum8!tc4 wouldn't budge. I was hitting it hard enough that I busted my Husky channel locks.
Got it 90% back together. I ran out of daylight. It seems a lot more solid now.
Puzzled, I saw no need to remove it. You rarely grease a nylon wheel. But you had a need, yet did not die-thread it and add a washer and aircraft nut...

Thanks Brew.... it's what the paddles ride against, and also where the scraper/blade comes in contact with the driveway. It's also what the motor and pulley system mounts to. Last year I made a backing plate (for reinforcement) for it, just to make it through the winter. I plan on putting it back on this new one, it really seemed to help.
