I think I'll get some good penetrant and do mine, though I may be months is advance of shocks. And repeat in a month, and see if it helps. This stuff takes time to penetrate. Maybe some anti-corrosion lube from one of those $2 packets when you install new ones? Cutting fasteners apart irks me. What a hassle.

If you cut them.... be sure to hold the rod stable. If it gets spinning on you, it will explode. Don't ask me how I know.

Great advice, thank you White! That would certainly ruin my weekend.

I do plan on just cutting the nut at the top with a Dremel wheel. Not looking to set myself on fire haha.

I would have those off in 30 seconds with just hand tools.

Take a deep well socket and the longest extension you can find, slip it over the top nut and start bending back and forth, it will snap off really easy.

A nut splitter would be really handy for that too....

As I am looking at pics and video, it appears that my OESpectrums need replaced too. I'm not remembering where I bought them.... I think they are lifetime.

one thing about working with rusted fasteners,

if you want it to snap (like in this situation) it won't , it will come off hard the entire way

but the opposite is also true
