Unless you go with Bilstein or Fox. My old Bilsteins came off in back and were reusable. Replaced w/Fox shocks which are massive in comparison. I was surprised at the difference in ride.
Difference between these brands? Better ride from the big shock? Like to have 25 words on the rides you make and your opinions on shocks for these. I barely ever off-road anymore, but don't want a shock issue the first time I hit a few softball sized rocks or 4" logs that fell off a woodsman's load. TIA
I flushed the brake system today. Now the mother truckin' ABS light is on, and so is the brake light. I think I messed up the brake fluid sensor when I unplugged it though.
I think it's time to bypass the RABS. I don't think it's ever done anything "help" at any point in time.
EDIT: I fixed it. Apparently the sensor wants that sum8itch ALL the way full to the MAX line. On the RABS module, I unplugged it and sprayed the connector and the module down with brake clean. When I plugged the RABS module back in (motor running), I felt the solenoids click. I got in it and cycled the ignition switch, and the ABS light went off.
I am glad that this made me get down there and investigate. I didn't realize that pushing the master and RABS module outward would cause this brake line to come in contact with the body. I ever-so-carefully bent it out of harms way.

I flushed the 98 3 times, never had a ABS light with that truck. No help or Mity vac to assist from start to finish. RABS are easy. You can even bleed them with one person.

Yeah, but that poor thing is prob the most trustworthy vehicle you'll ever own.
Yours prob will...specially if don't let you're coolant get nasty and have the correct procedure down combined with the right good stuff when servicing.
As long as you have quit using that FL820S filter since Ford went to the dark side with that. Thanks to your research, the WIX has proven to be the solid go to now.
Either rob the hardware from a 97-98 5four from a yard...you can have new hoses made locally. Think there's o-rings as well though, not sure about those. Mine never leaked.
Make a high quality set up with using AN fittings and filter block.
I pulled the fan out of this 94. It's the same basic dimensions at the Contour fan, but it has one 11" and one 14" blade. I'm interested to see what difference this makes when I get started with my fan testing.
