Wheat, in the world, was iffy but hopeful 3-4 months ago.
Not quite so hopeful now.

"The peasants have no bread. Let them eat cake."

Wait - Uh, cake just requires fancier flour than bread. But bread flour may cost what cake flour does. I think the agave fields might be safer from fires. And even if not, they can dig up the roots. Maybe they'll even be part toasted!!! 😋

All I know is , some of that bread is toast.

They were keeping ahead of them with trucks and water tanks strapped in the beds. Quick storms , first it's one fire, then two , then another within the storm track but variing in location. Never seen them start quite like that in a field on the tube.

Storm, rainbow then smoke...yeah crazy.

Until I was about 23 years old, my Grandpa had a store. I worked there from 14 to 18 years of age. There was a guy that would come in named Jimmy. He would grab a Coors sixer on the way home every night. He always told me he was "here for my loaf of bread". Lol. When I turned 19, I worked for Jimmy... really funny boss. We'd drive around and listen to Freddy Fender all day.

EDIT: This song was fairly new at the time. Freddy is a member of the Texas Tornadoes.

Same here, made it out to the garage to work on the bike after doing yard work earlier but I'm standing here at the computer instead.

My birthday Sunday and my youngest the week.before. The Texas Roadhouse for killer Steaks, cooked however (red) you wish, optional inions and shrooms, just one type of IPA so I didn't ask what, and both tall ones were very good. And I forget what wife's Lemon Bacardi is made from... something that has rotted, I think. But wheat has been an important world market issue since Ukraine, a breadbasket country, got invaded. The fire and ice climate has not helped. We may have.to start eating more.cornbread under ham and beans. Then how would we make bad gas? It all ties in.

My youngest also likes wheat beer. I'm with the German beer purity law. Wheat is included - out. I have been missing a really good whiskey sour though, and MY homemade ham'n navy/white beans over split cornbread, from G'pa's unwritten recipe. Killer killer good. This gas goes in a different tank.
