DOH!!! Never mind, this would NOT have changed that adjustment at all - it's on the other side of the booster. Just leaving the previous comment below for reference to this statement.
This was between the booster and the firewall.... it was in really rough shape, and looks like it'd been around the block before - so I left it out. I'm just sitting here wondering if I should have compensated for this thickness in the rod adjustment?

Right, looks like someone else messed with it. I never have. I've heard of folks screwing around with the adjustment though. It either made a difference or didn't from what I recall white. Not much help I know lol.
For sure.... the holes were wonky (two different sets). It looked to me like it didn't belong on this truck. . It was cracked pretty bad too. Luckily I had the booster that Rock Auto sent me on accident (and told me to keep it), and I used the new rubber boot. A dust cover is about all it is.
Dust cover? Gotta name it sumpin'... But engineers, trained to consider sales and longevity required of the end part - the car - are trained to leave out any 1¢ part they can that do not affect sales or significant longevity. I'd investigate and want to replace. MHO.

Isn't that the same one you post every other month ?
Didn't you sell it for 5 grand ? Seems cheap....didn't it run?
Yep, only C4 I have ever owned.
7k, it didn't start when I went to pull it in the garage one day in November.
I was putting the car cover on it because we were getting some snow flurries, an officer was doing a crash report in front of my house and asked if it was going to sit outside for the winter.
When I told him it wouldn't start, he offered me 6k for it.
My neighbor was standing there and mentioned it to his boss and his boss called me and offered me 7k.
I only put 800 miles on it in almost 3 years, so wasn't sorry to see it go.
I got it for free, well for some work I did but did not expect to get paid for.
And put around 2k into it to get it on the road.
I had fun with it and sold it before I lost my license. lol
It was not fast compared to the cars out now.... but it didn't have a speed limiter.
It handled very well at high speeds....

I am guessing that it's an early 97 thing - which means I'm not going to find it. This booster on Ebay looks the same. It's almost like it was a leftover piece from another vehicle, and Ford used it.
From what I am seeing in pics, it was later changed to the boot that I used.
