Thinking v2
The old big screwdriver down the pipe so, as, to not need a test tube
Remember those?
The bolt in pipe that went where the converter was?
Back when it didn't matter
Back when the little black plastic cap / funnel allowed you to put regular gas in your unleaded car?
Then the cat got plugged?

If you have a welder KevSims39, don't be afraid to weld exhaust...start out with 1" strips in a straight line if you need to butt joint or other and skip around. That way you won't blow a hole through it. Just don't lay under the truck while doing so lol.

Kev, cutting straight is like welding or painting or anything. Rush it and it all goes to heck. As soon as the blade starts to go off line, adjust, as it's very hard to correct unless one is very prompt in doing so. I prefer a blade with teeth a notch finer than suggested. Nicer cut, sure, but it also slows me down so I focus better. Demo(lition) work is about the only time that haste makes waste and it's a good thing.
EDIT: And a longer blade, worked vertically, then laid down in the partial cut, then vertically again, alternating, helps guide the cut, and helps your eye align the blade with the Sharpie line you made. Pencil lines vanish when things vibrate and metal shavings dance around.
Hey, did you electric fan guys start a new thread and not tell me? Lol !

I do not have a welder, and i have not tried the mega clamp, the mega clamp might be my best bet currently. I haven't actually started it since I did the exhaust on Sunday. Im going to take it for a drive today and see how bad the leak is. Totally correct Bill, once i started to cut i did kind of rush it and didnt see how far off track i went. No lift so i was doing it on ramps on my back, but hey, thats what this truck is for right? i bought it as a project and to learn so im definitely learning haha.
Of mere curiosity, (and maybe you said,) year and model is of some minor interest. I'm 72? 73 soon I think. Never cared after I was 9, so ah fergits. These guys almost know each other's vins, I sometimes think.
