They are a variable speed drive... slow wake times, lower TDP. They aren't meant for constant access - just cheap storage. I have one in my Windows 7 box which is primarily used for backups.

EDIT: Here's a little comparo that can explain in more in depth than I did.... LOL, mine was the "cliff notes" version.

Now I know why I never used the Green, they wern't as appealing as the Blacks were....at first.

The link. That's some old old info, definitely outdated. But they keep updating it for some reason lol. Unless your referring to way back when (?) Word was they just couldn't handle the rpms long term.

Not for gaming anymore...they will fry. The Blacks had the shortest lifespan, the Blues would go a couple years.

My green is a 2014 or 2015 model, so I guess mine applies in that situation. This is my HD situation in the old box.... looks like the green needs cleaned up again, lol.

The Windows 7 OS is on a SANDISK SSD

Yes and no... put them on the front... then didn't fit on the rear. That's what prompted my axle swap lol. Had to know why they didn't fit in the rear and it was cz the axle was from an 80s van lols but yes that's what she's got on.

Treadwright, superswamper, and military take offs are some to look into that for sure make 16.5 tires. I have a folder with a bunch of links I'm trying to find. Will post them once I can find them.
