I think I may just take the chance on it if I cant find what I'm looking for in a yard today. I hate that she has to go out and about like this.

Yea, I've just haven't seen horns on the frames yet I guess. Still learning about these trucks lol. I was just saying you might be able to move them to old local if the fasteners are still there. Like the older models. They might of relocated the horns, but the fasteners could still be there. Both horns on the 98 are on the core support, by the passenger side headlight. Not even close to the frame.

Edit: You must be referring to front of the frame itself vs horns that go beep beep lol. Sorry, it was late last night and it's still early in the morning here. That's my excuse anyway lol.

Here's hoping you find parts quickly and easily. Glad to hear nobody was hurt.

Hey you guys, just so your aware, Skylar is running and open exhaust, no cats. I could tell in his last you tube. That's probably why it's stalling. The 98 sounded the same with open headers at idle. With a header install, you have fire it up open first before installing cats. I didn't put in gear or run it long. I'm just saying, you can tell there's no cats, the manifolds are more less open. Some, maybe all of the problem hes having. I'm just tired of telling him the same thing over and over lol.

Yeah, I'm done with him, officially. I was really trying to give him a little slack, but I'm tired of partial stories.

Here's his vid, -

Yea they don't sound like that after the cats are installed...UNLESS they are leaking badly. They are relatively quite. My Y was tested up to 40 psi before I blew the test cap off. So no leaks. Installed, they idle smooth and quiet.

Yeah.... I agree. Punched cats for sure.

This last thing with the pulleys did it for me. He's not giving you all of the info. If the crank pulley is wobbly, as I recall from the 3V I worked on - there is a chance the tone ring is flopping around too. I feel like we're given info on what he deems for us as an "as needed" basis. Spill the beans dude.

Yea we covered cats long ago, thought he bought a set as he was having trouble finding the right ones. Pointed him in the right direction there and that's the last I heard about it. I doubt he followed through. Now he's trying to solve all problems with a new idler pulley ? He messed that truck up pretty good, sadly, I don't think he can get it back. He's all over the place, hacking up one thing after another. Had the right idea selling it imo.
