Jbrew, if all we see is 50-60 mph winds and less than 10" of rain I will be all too happy. Especially since yesterday we were right in the strike zone for a cat 4 Florence.
I hear yuh, we just watched an update and it doesn't look good, still too far away to predict where it's going hit. I mean they're are talking from north to south of you yet...not sure. Serious surge as well. Dang man yea, stay safe!

White, this could be very interesting. I'm hoping for full on let down and no reason to even hook the generator up.

Jbrew, I'm trying not to get too caught up in the news. As you said it is way to early to tell but the stores have been getting cleaned out since Saturday so that's fun.

The electrician will be here in the morning to hook up a full disconnect and a 220 plug in for the generator so I can easily power some of the house without running extension cord all over the place. I think I may even be able to run the AC... if I need to.

Hahaha new generator and a much cleaner solution this time around. I wasnt a huge fan of the way I had it hooked up before or with old style 220 plug on the old generator. Still have it for a back up though.

Good to here, is it petrol, LP or NG. It's nice when it's all automatic, but those systems can be pricey. I'd know much more about them if I lived out there lol. Seems like you get hit every year with a storm or two.

This one is just gas. As soon as the wife gets out of nursing school a whole home LP system is going in. The past few years have just been all over the place with storms of one kind or another.

Yes.... I sent him an offer, lol. I told him I'll pick it up tonight for 300 without the accessories if he'll do that. We'll see......
