So I just had my first spark plug blow out today. I got really lucky though. It was cylinder one and didn't take my threads with it. Destroyed the coil though.

JP....didn't see that you had a plug blow out. Glad it was repairable quickly without too much difficulty.
I put the trim on today. It matches the steering wheel, so that gives it some difference than the gray panels and how plain they are. Since I have a lot of black inside, I was thinking that maybe taking that bottom carpet panel on the doors, and dye it either dark grey or black to match. It's a thought. I still have to wipe down the panels from last year, but other than a wash, I'm about ready to do a road trip with lil Red.

Now thats nice, AK- the addition of the wood grain is very tasteful, like i mentioned, im not a fan of wood grain, because i think the factory over does it on most cars/trucks, but that is nicely done! and, i agree, a little darker on the carpet kicks ( it might hide the shoe marks a little also)!

I just was looking at the picture and it showed me some surface rust under the door. I just went out and checked it. Luckily it is surface, and I had a can of Permatex Extend, so I cleaned it all up and then sprayed it. Those rust killers by Permatex work fairly well. Turns black as a tire sidewall when it's done and the metal is cured. It's weird. you don't see things, but when you take a picture, things you normally don't see, show up. Luckily that was correctable fairly easily. That mud that sat there all winter must of started the inroads to rust. I will have to respray the red under the door when it gets warmer. Certainly not today. Burr....cold as hello.

My plug ordeal wasn't awful. I was about a mile from the house but I have been working on a buddies outboard so I had all of my tools in the truck. So with those, a spare plug, and a heavy misfire I made it home. Already picked up a new coil so it will be good as new before dark.

Holy ****.... come home and find my own laptop is having HD issues. Damn it all. Just ordered a 1TB WD Black for it.
