You know, I was trying to remember who told me they were going. So it was good ehh, looks like they were having fun lol. Looks like you arrived early or stayed late. Was it packed ? Anyway yea, that would of been something to see, all of them jamming lol.

On the 3.0 going the manual specified route has you pull the CV axle, but we also had to loosen the front motor mount and tilt the engine to get it out. When I put the first one in it slid in ok, however the ones from the dealership wouldn't fit around the support hanger for the CV axle (2nd and 3rd alternator.) I ended up taking the manifold off and the vacuum bottle and dropping them down the firewall to get them back in. No matter what I tried I couldn't get the alternators from the dealership between the body mount rail and the cv axle support.

On the plus side the tone ring needed to be replaced and got replaced but trying to get that alternator in and out was a total PITA and not the bread kind.

Haha well I hope not but not much has been done to this so I'm pretty confident I won't have any PO surprises

Anyway, if you have Torque Pro, or something similar, you can go see what the temp is. Mine was 160-165 when it was throwing a code. Now it gets to 195-198. Very, very nice heater, lol.

----- My alternator is starting to make the headlights flicker. It is still the original, and I think it needs brushes. I will be getting to that pretty soon. I think the 2.3 is easier than the 3.0 for the alternator. I hear the CV axle needs to come out for the 3.0 alternators.
I'll hook up my torque app tomorrow and see what temps I get. I did notice last night it got up to temp pretty quick (it was 1 degree last night) but it stayed dead center so I figured all is good. Will report back tonight or tomorrow depending on what time the wife gets home from work... hospitals abuse residents as far as hours worked goes. If you take her entry pay (which is not a full dr salary lol) and divide it by the hours she works it comes out to less than minimum wage... makes for disgruntled residents after 90hr weeks

It wasn't nearly as packed as I had anticipated. Probably 80% capacity. We went early because damn near any event in downtown SLC is a PITA to get in and out of. But last night was a dream. We were some of the first people that were let onto the 2nd tier. It was great... no lines, easy parking, easy traffic. Not your typical event... LOL. Going to a Jazz game is much worse.

I wasn't all that hyped about Phil Collen because other than Def Leppard, I'd never heard him really play. But he's pretty dang good. Didn't know until last night he's got a Southern Bluesy band he's in called Delta Deep, and that was the drummer, bass player, and singer he brought with him.

Petrucci was brilliant. He is the only guy Satriani has invited 7 times to be in the G3 tour with him - so that tells you right there the quality player he is.

And Satch.... you know Satch. He is as good live as he is on the records. He just released a new album last Thursday, BTW.

Uggghh.... I hope my Brothers doesn't go out before he trades it in this April, LOL.

Haha Satch, isn't he the one who got in trouble for commuting to a party with his helicopter ? Lol something like that.

Satriani is stuck in my trucks Supertuner, has been for years. The CD is a mix of jams I made over 10 years ago, there's at least 3 Satriani jams on there. Labeled it my 007 mix that I still play driving in bad weather....always. It won't eject, but always plays.

I didn't know who Phil Collen was. Def Leppard definitely, but couldn't put the two together. At first I went Phil Collins ? Then nah, what the hell would be doing there lol. But yea, he must be pretty good.

Petrucci, oh yea. On stage and up front, was Petrucci and Joe opposite of each other..far left and far right ?

I don't know about the helicopter story, lol. Sounds funny.

Yeah, in the pic is was Satriani on the left, Collen in the middle, and Petrucci on the right.
