There wasn't much to see, really. The media made it sound like it was going to get totally dark, but it just looked the same as it does when the air is smokey. How about all of them poor saps driving clear to Oregon and Idaho for this thing? LOL. I hope it's better there than it was here.

That pic is funny as hell, BTW!

Yeah I think the few cities that got totality got pretty dark, I used my welding helmet and me and the wife went outside, looked up said cool and went back inside lol. Indiana gets a solar eclipse with totality in 2024 so I won't even have to drive anywhere to get the full effect. Btw my buddy took this in Hopkinsville, Ky. Said you could stare straight at it and this picture didn't even need a solar filter. The hotel manager offered to buy it so he could hang it in the hotel lobby

That's what we could see here. No glasses or anything. We dropped the boat in the water and set about floating down the river watching. It got dark enough that I turned on my nav lights just to keep from getting hit if someone was dumb enough to come down the river hauling ***.

Sadly the office is a little south of totality so it just got really grey. Clouds moved in while watching it. Tried taking some video but all you see are clouds.

Yea they played it up quite a bit. There was one real cool live shot once the clouds opened up. Made it worth watching, spectacular.

Damn, I was gone 4 days and what did you guys find to do? Talk about an eclipse. lol. We didn't see any of it up here. It was clear in Fairbanks, but there was nothing to even partially see. Anchorage it was cloudy, so I don't know.

I made the trip back from NP in record time today. The damn construction of a new 4 lane really slowed me down for the 8 miles, and the ignorant driver of the motorhome, who wouldn't go over 40, in a 55, and had 33 cars behind him. Where is a cop when you need one? LOL. It rained on the way up Friday. It rained so hard that I had to slow down to let the wipers keep up around Mt Denali. It rained for over 250 miles, but my Mustang didn't get that dirty after all. Some around the wheel wells and front fender curves.

That's a pretty good looking mustang. I don't think I have seen a picture of the whole car before.

I can honestly say that I did everything on that Mustang. It was black with white Mustang rocker stripe when I got it. All the v6 stuff went away. I put on CS.GT front and rear fascia's, redid the whole interior, upgraded whatever could be upgraded and stuff like that.

New stripes are on the way. I'm going to keep the Grabber Blue color, but change them up. The rear will now have a Mach 1 style rear deck stripe, and the hood is going to a wide fader style stripe.

It's about time I did some more work on her. Those stripes have 7 years on them, and this year they really show signs of fatigue. The rear deck stripes are cracked and shrinking. The Mustang only has 44k on the clock. I call her my work in progress. lol
