Box #65 sealed. Sheds done (the shed has 3 rooms, big shed), Found more stuff in the house, approx 3 more boxes. Then last but not least the shop. Hoping to have time to pull maintenance one more time on the truck. Iduno though, was going to rent a CAT 466 to dig in services, - water, sewer tap and a 50amp service. An ex employer offered up a truck trailer and hoe as long as I replace the fuel. But I'll have to use an excavator instead. More work with an excavator, really wanted that front bucket on the backhoe for grading...oh well. I can grade with a X as well, just slower.

only 65? I think I moved more than that this spring for my GF in North Pole. I had to go rent a 20' box van, just to move the furniture, and then used it again for the boxes. It was full both times. Glad you are getting there. We had to move her all in one weekend, while I was there. It kept us busy. We even got 2 guys from a homeless shelter and had them help us. They loved the pizza, drinks and especially the cash at the end. It was long, but satisfying weekend then.

I went to two men and a truck to get a quote, 700 and some change. But wasn't comfortable with it. The cost was fine, but there were 4 guys there who were about 10 years older than I and well, not in the best shape. I guess that bugged me enough not to go that route. I'm fine as long as stay out of the heat, - heat stroked twice this year so I have to watch that. It only occurs at 80 plus and humid. Doc has said once you suffer heat stroke once your susceptible to it. That's a drag but controllable if I take the precautions.
Anyway, yea the shop is going be like, which tools I want to keep handy and what to pack away for awhile...decisions decisions..

I understand about heatstroke- everything in the paper manufacturing industry is under hot humid conditions- nearly every maintenance man has made himself sick staying too long on the job(almost done, lets hurry up and finish!trap) most buildings are 120 on the operating floor in the summertime- so yeah, keep hydrated, be careful with gatorade if you have high blood pressure, lots of sodium in it.- slow down and keep cool and pace yourself-
We dont want hear how you ended up in the hospital!!

I hear you Brew! I've moved a lot of crap in 100 degree plus weather, and it's been one heck of a struggle. I was packing my shed/shop in that crap on Saturday, and it was ridiculous. That is part of the reason I didn't get much done. On the phone right now trying to get all of my services transferred over. What fun!

No I didn't Brew. The damn weather changed, so it is getting a good hardening, before I sand and finish it. Damn truck looks funny without something on the back. lol. I forgot that it wasn't on, and my laydown mat I use for crawling under things, flew out. I had to go back and get it. I put it under my other spare in the bed. It stayed this time.

No heat stroke in Anchorage this year, but it's been warm in North Pole/Fairbanks my GF tells me. I should say complains about it anyways. She's damn happy I took my air conditioner up to her. She also has bought 4 other big fans, just to keep cool. I have to laugh. She's from the south and can't take our temps. Texans/Californian's/Floridians melt at 80 up here, and can't figure out why. It's just like I can live in Salem Oregon at 95 degrees, but not Seattle at the same temp. I've tried both. lol

Yea I totally disrespected it the last time. Combining Mtn. Dew with water for that little extra caffeine lift while packing the shed up. Hosing myself down every 20 minutes or so, that was shocker lol. I had a guy come out and chip up some trees. When he got here I just got done hosing myself down. Looked like a drowned rat in shorts that kept falling off my ***. Anyway yea, I deserved what I had coming that day.

If it's just heat, I can take it much better. As you know, throw humidity in and it's a different story.

Yea, I'm going to all that stuff as well. Unless I can broom it off someone else ? Yea, that's a good job for her hehe.

And she's from the south lol. I try not to run the air as much. Would rather run a whole house fan set up. It's too hot today 88* so the windows are shut and I'm governing at about 76* inside. Yea, this weather never use to bother me as much. Blood pressure is good and still in decent shape. Maybe I better pickup a couple watermelons or something.

That's merely warm, it's supposed to be 96 today and 100 tomorrow and we don't live in the desert so 60% humidity. In this slop I now have to figure out why I've got no power in the cab of the wife's escape after replacing the alternator. All the cables seem to be plugged in and I get power to the fuel injectors when the ignition is turned on but there are no lights, and starter doesn't turn over.

The escape is really starting to aggravate me.
