Yogi......so glad to hear that PT is coming along well for you. When are you able to go dancing with the misses again? You know she wants to. lol

White....depending on what job you have done for 22 years if I would switch now. It sounds like a good deal, and with automatic transmissions being so expensive to rebuild and replace, it would always give you a solid source of income. I would have to do some evenings with it, before I stepped on my ...... doing something that might not work out. What does the wife say? She controls more than what we could say to you. THis you know well.

And finally. You guys are so spot on with some of the new OP's and their problems. They won't listen and like to argue. This is why I've stopped posting so much on the other threads. If someone needs help I will try. If they are know it all's from the start, I leave the thread alone anymore.

14 years with the same woman, 7 years married to her. It's still hard to grasp that they do in fact wear the pants.

As for some of the new OP's, they seem to be younger. They know it all and you can't tell them different. I had a crew of them before we cut our integration division. 24 years old, have a degree in business and want $40 an our to pull cable. "Well, I have a degree!"

When I don't know, I don't argue. I read and get my hands in on has much information as possible. The guys here have saved me hundreds of dollars in shop labor costs, simply because I read and listened. Let's hope the other eventually get it.

I'm 28 and my wife is 25 we've been together for the past 8 years at the time sounded horrible not so much anymore

Maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion, but it just seems like another of the "fake news/info" trolls. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Bear.....hows the leg? I hope it is better now and you get back to 100% very quickly.

Brew...I found the plates today, so I'll go find some way to package them tomorrow. USPS is closed today, so that works out anyways.

JP.....looks very nice. Where does the flatscreen go?
I guess I have some catching up to with this thread...like 4 or 5 pages. Couldn't make the time for it lately. Yea, priorities temporarily wakked! Then there's the F150 withdrawal. Attempted to sneak a couple weak posts in here and there, but it wasn't enough. It was more-less suckin and now the sweats! Hoping for normalcy after this one lol.

AK, I haven't read further yet, not sure if you pointed the user out but have a good idea who you are talking about. This person is fairly new, might have been here for a month plus is all. One of those Jack of all vehicles types. Unlike us who have been raised with Fords personally, specifically the F150. To a point they become family therefore are treated as such. So much of us know them inside and out. The people who just think they know evident to us fairly quickly. They have a good general understanding of automobile maintenance at best. We've all seen that and it wouldn't be a bad thing if they came here with the intention of learning more. Many have trouble with the mind set learn vs teach ultimatum...shorted switch I expect lol.

EDIT: I should also mention that I learn stuff all the time, something different about my truck from others on this site and elsewhere. That fact will be never ending. Once you realize just how many brilliant minds it took to engineer this thing to work in harmony it's not a shortcoming of any sort. Focusing on keeping that harmony is earned through perseverance and hands on. Skill is just the repercussion. Passing that on is a way to thank others who have made this skill obtainable in order to help their fellow man. It's the way I think of it anyway, -didn't know that could be addicting though.

Take your time AK, be assured I want them. I won't be able to install them for quite some time so don't hurry whatever you do. I still have the rockers in rafters. They go on first and still haven't found that time yet. Still waiting for the perfect opportunity I guess. Then I have to be in the mood lol. So no immediate hurry, whenever it's convenient. Thanks buddy.

AK- we have another thing in common beside the trucks, I also have a spare room full of stuff I need to get rid of. I hate selling stuff, only because it's a PITA to list crap for sale. Well, to do it in a fashion that explains exactly what they are getting. Time consuming as hell mainly because you can't simply describe what it is, has to be proven or folks won't be interested...I wouldn't either.
Anyway, been forcing myself to do this (wearing a rubber band on my wrist in case I stray), the room is the largest in the house (by 1" lol). I need the room for guests, it was a little cramped over the holidays. Not large stuff, small crap but there's a lot of it. As a hobby I repair/refurbish communications and calibration equip (mostly 3M stuff). I enjoy that part of it but man do I despise selling once finished so it adds up and it out of hand at this point. Did something foolish, made a new years resolution to do this, now I feel guilty working on the truck. Wasn't prepared for that lol.

I too have a room full of stuff.... a lot of it is car parts (mostly OEM). I have 9 of those big totes loaded. Also a bunch of clothes that no longer fit me because they are too big (good problem).

I saw this and thought a couple of you would get a chuckle......

Huh, maybe we are all just pack rats. Some sort of mental condition lol.

Went to fire the 98 just 5 minutes ago and nothing. Everything else works. This is very unusual. Wiggled the selector around in park, nothing. Went to neutral nothing. Wiggled the selector around in neutral nothing. Applied more pressure to the left side of neutral and she fired right up.

The selector has some slop in it but I'm not convinced that's it. Guess I inspect further later. Yea, get to work on the truck!

Lol why do they have so many issues with their PS pumps. My friend's Envoy actually does sound like it has a blower but it's his power steering pump whining like a bitch

Isn't the neutral safety integrated into the PRNDL (trans range sensor) on these trucks?

Brew....tighten the two bright torx screws that hold the shifter mount under the dash. This is a very common problem with our trucks. Once they are retightened, you will be golden again. Simple fix.
