^ well that's disappointing, I was hoping that there would be some way to prevent that. So it's a pretty easy fix if they do blow out?

Sorry about the double post, I failed at trying to delete it lol. And yea it kinda sucks but I am a mechanic and we have only done a few so it isn't like it happens all the time so he could go years without a problem.

I've heard it happens quite often and it really sucks if its the back two on either side because the cab of the truck has to be removed in order to fit the proper tools to fix the problem

The kit we have to do it can on the back, it would be tight but it would work. So if it they say the cab has to come off they have a different tool than us.

That's great!! Where were you at when this happened to me? lol my dad just went ahead and did a full cylinder head replacement on mine. people were telling me that it would probably happen again especially since I was boosting 16lbs

Something that I over looked when I bought my 2003 F150(5.4L) was I had a broken Exhaust Manifold stud...they tend to rust and corrode away. Since the truck was warmed up when I test drove it i didn't hear the leak as much. Just turn the wheels full lock and take a look-see under the inner fender liners. May come to a surprise that some studs are broken...
